The Asia-Pacific Action Alliance on Human Resources for Health (AAAH) is a network of individuals and partner institutions that share common interest in the development of human resources for health in Asia Pacific region. Founding members are from 10 countries (Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Philippines, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Thailand) and a number of regional and global partners such as the Rockefeller Foundation (RF), the World Health Organization (WHO-HQ, WHO-SEARO, WHO-WPRO), the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Five additional members joined the AAAH in 2006 namely India, Nepal, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, and Samoa.
The Alliance is supported by a small and active secretariat team located at the
International Health Policy Program - Thailand. A list of focal points for our member countries is shown below.
