Health worker migration has been increasing worldwide over the past decades, especially from lower income countries with already fragile health systems. To address this situation, the World Health Assembly adopted resolution WHA57.19 which, among other things, requested the Director-General to develop, in consultation with Member States and all relevant partners, including development agencies, a code of practice on the international recruitment of health personnel.....
